Warhammer 40,000: Warpforge, a new digital trading card game set in the Warhamme 40k universe, was announced for PC, iOS and Android in 2023. Responsible is developer Everguild, who also developed The Horus Heresy: Legions.
Before that, the Everguild studio was responsible for the trading card game The Horus Heresy: Legions, now it’s Warhammer’s turn. The developers promise exciting, fast-paced card matches with some of the most well-known factions of the Warhammer 40,000 universe. Orcs, Aeldari, Necrons, Tyranids, as well as the inevitable Space Marines from the Order of Ulramarines and their Warp-loving brethren, the Chaos Space Marines, will be represented, according to the published cover art.
According to Everguild, the roster of playable factions will be gradually expanded. Both single-player campaigns and competitive modes such as Draft and Constructed are to be offered; there will be standard modes as well as time-limited special events; also so-called alliance wars.
Warhammer 40,000: Warpforge will be released for PC via Steam in 2023. The mobile versions, for which full cross-platform support is promised, will appear later.
