Alexis Ohanian’s fondness for sports cards is no secret. Earlier this year, the Reddit co-founder boasted about collecting the world’s largest Serena Williams card collection. He owns a hundred such cards and calls them his personal investment. Interestingly, Alexis also tried gifting Serena digital cards but his wife wanted jewelry instead. Recently, his card collection got an interesting twist.

The 40-year-old has been active in the NFT world, making some value-driven investments. The sporting cards are a part of this chain which can see huge growth in the future. Here’s what Alexis had to say about his card collection.

Hours ago, the Reddit co-founder, shared a series of stories on his official Instagram handle where he showed off his limited edition glossy set collection of sporting cards. Additionally, he also mentioned about Roger Federer and Rafael Nadal’s cards.

Posting a picture of the limited edition glossy set, Alexis said, “Broke a box today – chasing /500.” Subsequently, he tagged Serena Williams, Venus Williams, Roger Federer, and Rafael Nadal as he believed all of them had great rookie cards on them.

In the following story, Alexis found Venus’ rookie card and he shared a picture of the same, saying, “Good morning, sis! This should grade pretty well, too – that top left corner tho.” It was P4 mentioned in the top left corner of the card, indicating a rare card.

Not just tennis, Alexis has ventured into rookie cards of other sports as well. Earlier this year, he endorsed soccer legend, Lionel Messi’s rookie card.

As Lionel Messi had a dream Inter Miami start following a huge move to MLS, the soccer legend’s popularity kept on increasing. The bidding on his card started at $18,000. Alexis posted a story on his official Instagram handle, showing the picture of the card. Subsequently, Messi’s card was sold for more than $20000. Alexis, who shared the picture on social media, was excited to see the card trading hands. With Alexis making a new request, Federer and Nadal’s cards elude him. However, it won’t be long before we see those cards with Alexis.
